I think the name fits this car perfectly. It was the last McLaren chassis designed by Adrian Newey. A sleek and stunningly looking car which in terms of speed had no competition for the most of 2005 race weekends. Unfortunately a car being fast isn't enough, it also needs to bring its driver to the finish. And the MP4-20 failed to do so several times. Kimi Räikkönen twice suffered a technical problem while leading a race. Plus four times he had to drop 10 places on grid due to an engine change. In the end he lost the championship battle against Renault's Fernando Alonso by more than 20 points. Teammate Juan Pablo Montoya also suffered multiple reliability issues, plus his performances were quite inconsistent. That all together resulted in the McLaren team also losing the constructors' championship to Renault.
