Originally, the Bedford Fire Department, along with a tanker from the Armonk Fire Department, and a tower ladder from the Mount Kisco Fire Department were all dispatched for a reported structure fire. Car 2042 arrived on scene and advised heavy smoke showing from a 15'x40' 1.5 story barn. Soon after, Battalion 16 reported there was fire in the attic of the barn and requested an additional tanker to the scene, as well as an engine to relocate to Bedford FD's Headquarters. Bedford Hills Fire Department was assigned for the tanker to the scene and Banksville Fire Department was assigned for the engine to relocate. A F.A.S.Team from the Mount Kisco Fire Department was also requested to the scene. The fire was knocked down and the situation was placed under control after approximately 45 minutes of operation. Ambulance 52B2 treated one patient for smoke inhalation and transported them BLS to Northern Westchester Hospital. All mutual aid units were released while Bedford units remained on scene to assist Cause & Origin. The investigation was completed and all units were clear of the scene after approximately two hours.
