SNOW Totals Are INCREASING AND Shifting WEST

A winter storm is bearing down on the East as a strong upper level wave works in toward the Gulf. This will spark an area of low pressure just off the Southeast Coast, which will move up toward New England into Sunday afternoon. Models are shifting northwest, as expected, with the precipitation, thus allowing for higher totals inland. Portions of the mid-Atlantic and Northeast will benefit from this. I break down all of the latest details in today's video. There are also blizzard warnings in parts of Minnesota for high winds and blowing snow. More wind is on the way for the northern Plains as another storm system works in from Canada. As we head through next week, dry conditions in the Pacific Northwest will give way to more rain and snow in the higher elevations there. Bitterly cold air will head into the US as we move through the second half of January, setting the stage for a potentially wintry pattern in the east. I cover all of that and more in today's video.
