Working on a DD15 complete overhaul, we are installing a new oil/coolant module. This is the procedure you will need to follow, weather you are just replacing the mounting gasket or the complete module assembly.
Since the engine we are working on spun a main bearing and metal debris was found through out the oil system. I recommend you replace the complete oil assembly so you do not run the risk of leaving any metal debris behind. Especially with a new build or overhaul.
