Let's take a look at how to create a prediction on a spread based upon some player level stats.
Recently someone reached out asking how to go about creating a model that can use some player level stats, and then project the spread.
Using their model they will want to predict what output each player in the line up will have and combine those in a team level stats.
Next we would take historical stats for the team, and historical spreads that we believe to be true. Using this, we can start to run a linear regression on the data. Once we have the coefficients, we will load our player/team projections into the formula!
