Stenciling Harlequin on the Backside of the Steampunk Woman on Canvas Bag (Part 3)
In this final stage of our Steampunk Woman on Canvas Bag project, we’re adding a bold harlequin stencil design to the back. Using a mylar harlequin stencil, we’ll apply Dixie Belle Silk Paint in Anchor (black) for a striking contrast. To enhance the look, we’re incorporating Liquitex Gold Acrylic, available at most craft and art stores, for a rich metallic touch.
The canvas bag, which serves as our base, is an unfinished piece from Michaels, making it perfect for customization. All additional materials used in this project, including stencils, paints, and brushes, are available on my website: Deborah Bucher Designs.
This stenciling technique brings a vintage-meets-industrial flair, ideal for steampunk and mixed-media enthusiasts. If you’ve been following along, this is Part 3, where we bring everything together for a polished, finished piece.
