John Noakes born John Wallace Bottomley born 6 March 1934 – 28 May 2017 co-presented the BBC children's magazine program Blue Peter along with Peter Pervis and Valerie Singleton in the 1960s and 1970s and was the show's longest-serving presenter, with a tenure that lasted 12 years and six months.
