We hope you enjoy our performance of "Meet Me On The Corner" by English folk-rock band Lindisfarne.
Written by bassist Rod Clements and sung by Ray Jackson (vocals, mandolin, guitar), this catchy song was the first track on their 1971 breakthrough album "Fog on the Tyne", released as a single in 1972.
A classic "Geordie" song, and as with many of Lindisfarne's songs, "Meet Me on the Corner" has a strong sense of place, with lyrics that capture the spirit of North East England's Newcastle-upon-Tyne from which the band originally hailed.
