Shibuya Sky is amazing. We bought tickets in advance to secure a timed entry. Once you have done this, show up 10 minutes before your entry time as it gets very busy. There is no time limit to how long you spend there, once you gain entry but they will not permit you in any earlier than your allocated time.
We went in the evening and enjoyed the light show and so many photo opportunities. We loved laying on the netted hammocks to gaze up at the stars.
They had a professional photographer who will take photos of you (if you choose) on the most popular photo location and you can purchase these photos in the lobby if you choose to. They also allow you 30 seconds after the photographer has finished, to take your own photos.
