ANNABELLE: COMMUNION (Horror Short Film) UNCUT

So a couple weeks back, David F. Sandberg, director of the new Annabelle: Creation, launched a horror short film contest inspired by Annabelle and The Conjuring universe. It was known as the "My Annabelle Creation Contest." The rules were that everything had to be no more than 2 minutes max. and 100% original-- all sounds, music, footage, etc. Except for the Conjuring/Annabelle elements. The films were judged on creativity, how closely the tones/themes of Annabelle and The Conjuring were portrayed, technical excellence, and the ability for the story to be adapted into a feature-length or long-form piece.
So, I proudly present to you, Annabelle: Communion.
I gladly got to work as soon as I heard about the contest and I couldn't be happier with the results. While this is not the cut we submitted to the contest (hence the "uncut"), this is the version I wish we could have submitted. 2 minutes just felt like too little, you know?
With an original score by Aaron McAfee and an original lullaby by Kolbe Boudreaux, Annabelle is now accompanied by a new friend-- Jasmine. A doll who looks just like her owner. And all she wants is to spend her final moments with Annabelle before she takes form in the new doll forever.

Having filmed in less than 3 hours and escaping the cops in an abandoned church, our small crew of 4 created something great.

We don't know the results of the contest just yet, but our fingers are crossed for Annabelle: Communion.
