According to the latest data, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported more than 14 million new cases of cancer, which resulted in more than 8.2 million deaths worldwide. They expect these numbers to skyrocket over the next twenty years by a whopping 70% globally!
Cancer is a class of diseases characterized by out-of-control cell growth. There are over 100 different types of cancer, and each is classified by the type of cell that is initially affected.
Before we talk about "cures", there is a saying you must have heard: "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"
The good part of it is, up to 50% of the cancer cases are preventable, but due to negligence, millions of people die every year.
International Society for Krishna Consciousness, Kukatpally, is conducting an Elocution competition to increase awareness, recognize the symptoms, to take preventive measures to avoid carcinogens, thus achieving a cancer-free society
