How to Improve Religions in Worldbuilding

There's a lot a religion can tell us about the worldbuilding of a story. What people value, their culture, their stories, their history and religion can play a big part in that. When you want to incorporate a religion into your worldbuilding, it needs to be thorough and sometimes, act as a real religion would.
