Breaking from tradition, Ozi Dumplings in Bushwick is filling dumplings with everything from cheeseburgers and Buffalo wings to Nutella and cheesecake. Like most American-born Chinese, owner Danny Cai was raised on the foods of his parents and grandparents, as well as fostering a love for American cuisine. When Cai set out to open Ozi, he wanted to combine the two sides of his culinary nostalgia into one bite. The result is outlandish dumplings, packed with delicious bites of Americana, as well as nods to traditional Chinese fillings and techniques.
