📱 Nokia 7650 is a 2.5G smartphone, from 7th series. It was the first Nokia phone with integrated camera, the first using Symbian OS and also first Nokia with sliding keyboard. It was very important phone for Nokia and one of the most ambitions phone ever released. This was also first device to support Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS).

📷 The camera was 0.3 megapixel VGA, with 640x480 resolution. It was revealed by sliding the upper part of the phone. After taking a picture, it can be viewed on 2.1” LCD display, with 4096 colors.

🖥 The device is running Symbian OS 6.1, Series 60 1st Edition (0.9). It has 104 MHz 32-bit ARM-9 CPU and only 4MB internal memory (about 3.5 available for use), with NO memory card support. The minimal internal memory combined with no USB connectivity has very big limitation to applications that can be installed. The only way is to send them over Bluetooth and then open and install them from the phone. Theoretically, on the phone can be installed video player, and videos can be played, but 4mb internal memory is limiting, since only the video application itself is around 1.5 - 3 MB. Same for a lot of Symbian games, they just exceed the internal memory in size. The later phones 3650/3660 and N-Gage were much more capable devices because of the memory card slot.

😉 The device has quite unique design, and little known fact is that when you open second rear cover for the SIM card, you can see small smiley face imprinted in the plastic next to camera ;).

💲 Nokia 7650 was considered high-end device for its time, with a price of 600 euro at the time of release.
