Multiple Ukrainian long-range drones were intercepted as they approached Moscow on New Year’s Eve, according to city officials. One UAV was shot down just as President Vladimir Putin began his annual address, with further interceptions continuing into the early hours. Flights at Domodedovo Airport were briefly suspended, while emergency services worked at crash sites. The incident followed another large drone raid a day earlier that wounded a civilian. Moscow has labelled the attacks acts of terrorism and warned of a non-diplomatic response.
