The French Line's legendary SS Normandie was in service for only a short four years 1935 to 1939. She was tragically destroyed by fire in New York in 1942 during conversion as the US. Troopship USS Lafayette . Her Art Deco interiors were legendary and this video give only a small glimpse of her beautiful interiors.
