After reporting back to Ranger Ghost about the atrocities committed by Caesar's Legion in Nipton, we made our way north towards Novac. Along the way, we were ambushed by some Jackal gang members and also discovered Ranger Station Charlie. Novac was just north of Charlie, and we were welcomed to town by Jeannie May Crawford, owner of the Dino Dee-lite Motel. She seemed nice enough, though a bit too eager to get us to stay the night in the motel... probably because Novac doesn't get many visitors. We also met Manny Vargas, a town watchman, who just so happened to know the man in the checkered coat who we have been chasing after. Manny said he would tell us all about the man as long as we solve a ghoul problem for him over at the REPCONN test site west of town.
