Sunny spring weather with 10-12 m/s winds out on Øresund is perfect for some downwinding. I launched from Kajakhotellet on Amager Strandpark, paddling the club's Carbonology Boost surfski.
The waves were around 1m high, and strong winds were blowing from the east from Sweden. The top speed I reached was 18-19 km/h.
Check out Kajakhotellet https://kajakhotellet.dk, which is easily the best place in Denmark to start sea kayaking and become good at it. Hopefully, there will be more surf ski paddlers at Kajakhotellet in 2025. Here is where my watersports and kayaking journey started, with excellent instructors and a fantastic team.
