In search of the ghosts of Cornwall on my bicycle! St Winwaloe's church in the tucked-away village of Poundstock in Cornwall is haunted by the ghost of a former curate - William Poundstock - who was murdered at the altar during a service. Several of the congregation were also murdered. The ghost was seen as recently as 2023! Hopefully I wouldn't see it when I cycled to Poundstock in May on the way to Bude...
The church was originally dedicated to St Winwaloe, but later this changed to St Neot. In the 1970s, the church re-adopted the dedication of St Winwaloe.
