Sorry about the throat!
These have quite a following and undoubtedly they are accurate with a very good stable velocity from the under stressed SSP system, Helped by a good barrel (German).
It has some quirks, like the grips which as supplied are to big to fit into an ISSF pistol dimension box, and the rear sight with the moving centre blade rather than something like a millet rear sight as used by Don Nygord on his adapted 717.
If this had been released by a UK or European producer it would have been described as a plinker, but in the USA where powder pistols were / are easy to get air pistols just didn’t get much traction. And up against FWB 80’s, Diana’s 6m GISS or even a FAS 604 pistol there would always be a clear order of preference based on the pistol design and ergonomics, for straight 10m precision target shooting, but it was and is a sought after pistol. Easy to live with and easy to work on, put in the hours of training and it will do the job, just it won’t help you that much.
For all that, would I sell it, no chance, the challenge of shooting this well and the simplicity of an SSP just keeps me coming back to it.
