It’s the time to explore the most unexplored state of North East part of India – Mizoram – the land of Mizo people. In this episode we covered some famous points in Aizawl, state capital of Mizoram.
How to go?
Aizawl (Lengpui Airport – 30 km from city) is extremely well connected to Kolkata by direct flight. We took the direct flight from Kolkata Airport – the fly time was approximately 1 hr 25 mins. If one wants to reach by train from Kolkata, the nearest prominent railhead is Silchar in Assam, 180 km from Aizawl, though Aizwal can be reached by railway soon, ongoing construction. The lush green view of Mizoram valley from your aircraft just before landing is really mesmerizing.

Taxi is widely available for city sightseeing. If you are a solo traveller, two wheeler taxi can be a cheaper option for you.
