If you want early spring blooms, now is the time to start. In this video, I’m prepping ranunculus corms for pre-sprouting and starting pansy seeds two different ways to get a jump on spring flowers.
I’ll show you how to properly soak and pre-sprout ranunculus corms so they’re strong and ready to plant when the soil is workable. Ranunculus are one of my favorite early spring cut flowers, and pre-sprouting makes a huge difference in success and bloom time.
I’m also starting pansy seeds using the winter sowing method and by growing them indoors on a sunny windowsill. Pansies are cold-hardy and perfect for early planting, and I’ll explain the pros and cons of each method so you can decide what works best for your garden.
This video is perfect for beginner gardeners, flower growers, and anyone who loves simple, old-fashioned gardening methods for spring blooms—without grow lights or complicated setups.
