We went wide off Tasmania’s east coast chasing Southern Bluefin Tuna — and the chaos that followed was next level.
Launching just before sunrise, we set the Bar Crusher 670HT on a mission to troll deep water, and it didn’t take long. Screaming reels, heavy runs, and insane surface bust-ups all led to one of our best days on the water.
We landed our first-ever Southern Bluefin Tuna, around 30kg, in over 750m of water off St Helens. Then backed it up with a second fish during a wild bait ball session — and even had a topwater strike explode right at the boat.
