Stranger Things 3's Directing Is Awesome

What makes a good director? Or better yet, what is good directing? I'm sure that you could easily pick up a scene and say, "this is well directed." but what makes that so? Well, let me show you an example from Stranger Things 3. This isn't Scorsese or Spielberg here, but it is one of a handful of scenes that stick out to me as really great directing and I'm going to tell you why!
