ମହମ୍ମଦ ମୋକିମଙ୍କ କଟକସ୍ଥିତ ବାସଭବନରେ ନୂଆବର୍ଷ ଆସର। ବାରବାଟୀ କଟକ ବିଧାୟିକାଙ୍କ ଅନୁପସ୍ଥିତିରେ ବହୁ କଂଗ୍ରେସ ନେତା, କର୍ପୋରେଟର, କର୍ମୀ, ଶୁଭେଚ୍ଛୁ ମାନଙ୍କ ଭିଡ଼ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ମିଳିଛି। ମୋକିମ୍ ଦଳରୁ ବହିଷ୍କାର ହେବା ପରେ ଏହି କଂଗ୍ରେସ କର୍ମୀ ଓ ନେତାଙ୍କୁ ନେଇ ଚର୍ଚ୍ଚା ଜୋର୍ ଧରିଛି। ମୋକିମ କହିଛନ୍ତି, କଂଗ୍ରେସ ନେତାମାନେ ମୋ ସହିତ କାମ କରିଥିଲେ, ମତେ ଶୁଭେଚ୍ଛା ଜଣାଇବାକୁ ସେମାନେ ଆସିଛନ୍ତି। କଂଗ୍ରେସରେ ଅସନ୍ତୋଷ ଅଛି, ବିଜେଡିର କିଛି ନେତା ଅସନ୍ତୋଷ ଅଛନ୍ତି। ତେଣୁ ନୂଆବର୍ଷ ନୂଆ ସମ୍ଭାବନାର ବର୍ଷ ହେବ।

A New Year gathering was held at the Cuttack residence of Mohammed Moquim, where a large number of Congress leaders, corporators, party workers and well-wishers were seen, even as the Barabati–Cuttack MLA remained absent.

The meeting has drawn attention as it comes after Moquim’s expulsion from the Congress, leading to fresh political discussions. Moquim said that the leaders who attended had earlier worked with him and came only to convey New Year greetings.

He further said that there is dissatisfaction within the Congress and also among some leaders in the BJD, adding that the New Year could open up new political possibilities.
