Tube Loading limits the heat that can be put into the x-ray tube before damaging the tube and thus limiting the power that can be used in each acquisition for x-ray and CT imaging. The heat units and heat capacity of the tube are also introduced.
Heat (HU) = kV_effective x mAs
Heat (HU) ~ 1.4 x kVp x mAs
Power (watts) = w x kVp x mA
