Thanks to Daniel Connell @OpenSourceLowTech (some of his oldest videos about the solar flower) to help me think that a waterwheel might do this task, and to @aaedmusa (Speed reducer using rope) that suggested that capstan drives might work as well as worm gears for torque increasing. The project ideas work, and it might even work to replace expensive actuators that move solar panels in 2 axis tracking. I would love it if someone could suggest a name for this type of solar tracker, thank you.
