Welcome to Rocky Bottom Cichlids! This channel was originally created (under a different name) a little over 2 years ago after nearly losing my long battle with addiction, depression, and severe anxiety disorder…After getting out of the hospital in April 2023 I began what has turned out to be one Big Bold Beautiful Journey of healing and recovery that has unleashed something powerful inside me that I sometimes have a hard time describing but seems to manifest itself through my tanks…These fish strangely have given me a completely new outlook on life! They brought me back in time to 30+ years ago when I fell in love with them for the first time! The idea behind this channel came to me when I was at my Rock Bottom and I wanted to find a way to give real people, with real problems, a first hand look of a real recovery of a real family who is just finding their way through trial and error. I am in absolutely no way an expert in fish! What you will see on this channel is just a guy in recovery having the time of his life with his kids learning as fast as I can!! Fish, Music, my family and friends all saved my life and if this channel can help even a single person besides myself cope with these horrible diseases it would be amazing! I hope you all enjoy!
