Welcome to the wonderful world of Google Analytics. In this series of Periodic Table of Google Analytics, I’ll show you how awesome this analytics tool can be.

Analytics.js is the latest JavaScript library of Google Analytics. It is pulled from Google's servers. Analytics.js is also called universal analytics.

The previous version is ga.js, and it is also called classic analytics.

The main differences between the two is that analytics.js has less footprint on the computer. It relies less on cookies, and more on sending data to Google cloud servers.

With the data stored in Google's cloud servers, users will have less data on their machine. This is a more efficient process, which will speed up the web.

Another advantage of using analytics.js is that Google only updates new features on it, and not on the older version of classic analytics. So to use these new features of Google Analytics, you'll need analytics.js.
