I really do feel that these two are incredibly similar and definitely would feel happy calling the L'Oréal a dupe.
They both have a really pretty natural but slightly luminous finish. I feel the L'Oréal one had a bit more coverage but didn't last as well throughout the day as you saw.
The Armani one was really smoothing and did a superb job of hiding my pores and fine lines. I feel that the shade was also better matched to my skin which made the foundation look more seamless and flawless.
In typical L'Oréal style the Lumi Magique was more warm toned and did oxidise a little bit.
I am very much looking forward to wearing the Armani one again and it was a delight having an excuse to buy it finally!!
