Come along with me on a Friday night evening and night walking tour through Exhibition Place in downtown Toronto as the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) 2025 officially kicks off! 🎡✨
Opening day on a Friday night is always special — the midway lights, the smell of carnival food in the air, and the excitement of Toronto’s biggest summer fair coming back to life. Known to locals as “The Ex,” the CNE is not just Canada’s largest community event, but also one of North America’s biggest annual fairs. Running for 18 days until Labour Day, it’s a true end-of-summer tradition.
On this walk, you’ll get a feel for the buzz of opening night — families, friends, and tourists all enjoying the attractions that make the CNE so iconic:
• 🎠 Midway rides & games (from thrill rides to the Kiddie Midway)
• 🍔 Food adventures — from classic fair favourites to wild, one-of-a-kind creations
• 🎶 Entertainment & concerts at the Bandshell and stages across the grounds
• 🛍️ Shopping & exhibits featuring crafts, tech, and international vendors
• 🐶 The famous SuperDogs show and daily live performances
• ✈️ And later in the fair — the Canadian International Air Show over Lake Ontario
The CNE has been part of Toronto’s story since 1879, and today it remains a must-visit summer tradition for generations of Canadians and visitors from around the world.
