Macrame Car Diffuser Tutorial

This car diffuser is super cute and easy to use! The diffuser portion of the project is made from one of Essential Wool's wool deodorizer/diffuser balls. Simply add a few drops of essential oil to the center hole of the ball for a fresh-smelling car without any of the junk in traditional car fresheners!

Wool deodorizer balls are available at amazon.com/essentialwool and essentialwool.com. They come in a pack of 6 so you will be able to make diffusers for all your cars and your friends' cars too! These little wool diffusers are also great for putting into stinky shoes, gym bags, linen closets, and anywhere else you can think of!

Supplies needed:
-1 wool deodorizer ball
-Macrame twine or thin yarn
-Scissors
-A ring to make your project on

Written instructions:
1)Cut 6, 6-foot strands of your string.
2) Fold the 6 strands in half and knot onto your ring.
3) Divide the now 12 strands into 3 groups of 4
4) In each individual group of 4, tie (about 30) half knots.
5) Once all 3 groups of 4 are knotted take the right two strands from one group and use an overhand knot to connect them to the left two strands of the next group around the project (a total of 3 knots) to start creating the basket.
6) Place the wool ball and tie all the strands in an overhand knot under the ball.
7) Cut the excess length
8) Optional - Wrap the ring with some of the excess strands you cut off.
9) Make the hanger by knotting or securing with hot glue a loop of your string. (Around 6 inches).
10) Attach the loop of string onto the hardware loop.
11) Use the string loop to attach the completed project to the rearview mirror in your car!
