INGREDIENTS
300g ikan bilis/anchovies
300g raw peanuts
SPICE PASTE
30g lengkuas /blue ginger
40 garlic
180g shallots
1 tbsp dried chili powder
1/2 cup (110 ml) water
SAUCE
1cup (220 ml) tamarind water (from 40g tamarind paste + 110 ml water)
4 tbsp white sugar
4 tbsp brown sugar
1tsp ikan bilis powder
3 cups (660 ml) oil for deep fat frying
