Temple of Love - Ofra Haza & The Sisters of Mercy [Top Of The Pops 1992]

We totally change register for this ultra rock single. Ofra now rubs shoulders with gothic rock with the mysthical Sisters Of Mercy English rock band and for the occasion, the latter are updating their song "Temple of Love", re-recording and renaming it "Temple of Love, touched by the hand of Ofra Haza". It was a success in many European countries, especially in Great Britain and Germany. What's more, the trio is invited on many TV sets, including the Top Of The Pops on 30/04/1992. This song was also present on the „Some Girls Wander by Mistake” compilation album of the Sisters of Mercy.
The track has great originality and Ofra surprises us by marrying her voice to pure and hard rock. It’s so different from the songs in contrast with what Ofra has done so far. It's an explosive mix and Ofra demonstrates, once again, that she can adapt to many genres, what's more, greatly enrich them.
