The Dawn of the New Life [Zorata na noviya zhivot] Зората на новия живот

Music by the Master, lyrics by a disciple and based on the Master’s ideas.

"In the 1921 edition and some recent song books, it is used "кивот" in the first verse, which could be either a ship as in Noah’s Ark, or the Ark of the Covenant. In either case, it does not make sense at all in this song. This word was not used in the Bulgarian Bibles including that of the Master from 1885 (Jews 9:4) until lately. The explanation may be that it was an error at the printing replacing the letter "Ж" with "К". This could be the reason why in the 1949 song book prepared with the active participation of Maria Todorova, the correct word "живот" (zhivot meaning life) was used, thus corresponding to the meaning of the song. "Живот" is used also in some of current books with prayers and songs. There is a personal copy of the 1921 edition where a disciple of the Master has corrected by hand "кивот" to "живот". In a later song with a text and music by the Master “Dawn of a New Life” (Zora na noviya zhivot) "живот" (life) is used"- quote from songbook "DEVOTIONAL SONGS: Compilation of Songs by the Master Beinsa Duno and His Disciples", Amazon KDP, 2020.
