This week, we are back to our YouTube timeline on our journey from Michigan to Montana to visit one of the girls’ best friends! A couple episodes ago, we shared a crazy storm that gave us the most beautiful sunset we have ever seen and were woken up in the middle of night causing us to have to leave to avoid high winds and hail! You can check out that episode here:

In this episode, we had landed at Buffalo Gap Campground, right outside of Theodore Roosevelt National Park and had learned that our dear friends, Travis and Erin and their boys, from @ourlivelytribe had taken a last minute trip across the country and that we were going to cross paths in North Dakota.

Travis had just lost his dad unexpectedly, and it was almost fitting that Teddy loved this part of North Dakota, because this is where he came to grieve after the death of his wife and mother on the same day in 1884.

We hiked Boicourt Trail off of the loop around that lower unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, got to see prairie dogs, bison (or buffalo or as we call them buf buf 😂) and feral horses! We also visited the hunting cabin that Roosevelt built and where he stayed after losing his wife and mother.

We said goodBye to our friends as they headed to Michigan, and we continued our detour to see @grantinggrace in Montana right outside Glacier National Park!
