Some Ribbons and Borders |

This past week has been a weird week for me in different ways, and a very peopley week too! I've reverted to some 'comfort art' - redrawing patterns and motifs in a more organised manner to replace my long used A5 dot grid visual reference book.

I love ribbons and borders and use them so much in my work. Re-drawing some of my long unused favourites was a fabulous way to remind me of the wealth of inspiration there is in my little book, and how much I want to reorganise things too.

I used an A5 sheet of dot grid paper, 03 Sakura Micron, 01 Unipin fineliner, and two different brown Statedler Triplus fineliners to draw the designs. I added shadow using a couple of grey Derwent ColourSoft pencils and a Derwent blending pencil. A white Sakura Gelly Roll pen was used to add some sparkles and highlights.
