Fragile settings face a double vulnerability—high climate risk and limited institutional capacity due to conflict, displacement, and weak governance. Yet between 2014 and 2021, they received just $2 per capita in climate finance, compared to $162 in more stable countries.
This video captures key moments from the Rome meeting held in September 2025 alongside the 2025 Standing Committee on Finance Forum. Hosted by WFP and organized along with UNFCCC, g7+ Secretariat, ODI Global and KOICA, over 70 global stakeholders came together to:
• Assess progress in mobilizing climate finance for LDCs, SIDS, and conflict-affected countries
• Showcase innovative programmes and country experiences
• Engage donors and climate funds on simplifying access
• Advance technical work under multistakeholder partnerships
• Align strategies with COP30 and future global processes
Watch to view insights from government representatives, financing and implementation partners on how climate finance can better serve the world’s most vulnerable regions.
