The Riyadh Metro is OPEN! But is it worth using for Riyadh Season? I put Saudi Arabia's new public transit to the ultimate test: Can I get from the King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) to the trending Boulevard World without spending a fortune on Taxis?

This is the most honest, up-to-date guide on Riyadh public transport and the cheapest way to explore the city!


✈️ Part 1: The Budget Arrival & Center Stay
I start at KKIA Airport and navigate the brand new Riyadh Metro using the amazing SAR 4 ($1) Pass (which works for 2 hours!). Watch as I transfer lines to reach my budget stay near the historic Al Murabba and the National Museum in AlBatha area .


🍚 Part 2: Food Mission & The Taxi Decision
After reaching my area via the Riyadh Bus (Bus 306/201), I find the best Karachi Biryani in Riyadh! My next stop is Boulevard World, but since public transport doesn't go directly, I show you the realistic cost:

• Final Leg Taxi Fare: I took an Uber (or Careem) for an estimated SAR 60 from the restaurant area to the Boulevard World gate. This is the most convenient route!

• Pro Tip: The Boulevard opens at 4:00 PM. Arriving early means you get cheaper ride-share rates and beat the massive traffic jams!

• Camera Rule: ATTENTION! Avoid bringing professional cameras, as any type of camera is NOT allowed inside the venue.
