Edinburgh has probably one of the most convenience way of transportation, It is so easy to get to the city from the airport, by bus, taxi or tram, it is so clearly presented to you the moment you exited from the airport. Best of all, I find the cost of airport bus and tram very economical, it is probably one of the cheapest I have taken.
In addition, the airport is so near to the city, all it takes is a 30-40 minutes bus journey, or tram journey. I like that the bus operates 24 hours a day, even in the middle of the night. I took the bus from the city to the airport in the early morning hours of 4am, and yet there are still so many buses to choose from.
To travel from Edinburgh Airport to the city centre, you have two convenient options:
Tram: The Edinburgh Tram runs from the airport to the city centre with frequent services. Trams depart every 7 minutes between 7am and 7pm, and every 10 minutes early in the morning and later in the evening. The journey takes about 30 minutes, and you can find tram stops at key locations like Haymarket, Princes Street, and St Andrew Square.
Bus: The Airlink 100 Express Bus is another great option. It departs every 10 minutes throughout the day and takes about 30 minutes to reach the city centre. The bus stop is located right outside the main terminal, making it easy to access.
