In the Teaching Young Learners Through Storytelling workshop, the participants will have a chance to learn how to expand storytelling into storytelling-based learning. The workshop will present a scaffolded design of a storytelling lesson that relies on the Theme-Based Instruction method and includes the following sections (warm-up, presentation, dramatization, practice and application, assessment, and follow-up.) Special attention will be given to pre-teaching that happens before storytelling and the activities during and after dramatization.

The participants will also have a chance to learn about many example activities for each step of the method, including videos, digital storytelling materials, and practical advice on how to use storytelling as a basis for language acquisition.
