Malestrom was voted the UK's Best Thrill Ride at the 2023 ThemeParks-UK awards, beating Samurai at Thorpe Park in 2nd place and third place Red Arrows Skyforce at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

Maelstrom is an outward-facing Gyro Swing ride manufactured by Intamin which opened in 2002. It is located in Adventure Cove at Drayton Manor. It has a maximum of 32 people and a swing angle of 350 degrees reaching a height of 23 meters
