The Xoogler community hosted a Xoogler Demo After Hours with Sarang Aravamuthan, Founder of Pay per Date, on July 30, 2025. Pay per Date is tackling the global issue of food waste by introducing dynamic pricing that automatically adjusts based on expiration dates — all without disrupting the customer experience. The model creates a win-win: retailers reduce waste and recapture value, while shoppers enjoy meaningful savings.

Inspired by a simple moment of instinct — reaching for the freshest item at Whole Foods — Sarang shared how this observation turned into a powerful insight about behavioral habits, smart pricing, and scalable technology. He walked through the founder’s journey of taking an everyday problem, validating the idea with real users, and designing a product that balances business impact with consumer trust.
