The Gymnogeophagus El Norte is a pretty, peaceful cichlid that has only been in the aquarium hobby for about 5 years. Though you may not have heard of this little cichlid, it's one you might want to keep, since it will live easily in a small aquarium -- say 20 gallons, and it plays well with others. It is also relatively easy to breed, and it will reward you with stunning colors!
In this video, John shows you the young Gymnogeophagus in his Tannin aquarium, and interviews Mike Szumigala of Mike's Cichlids to learn more about this cool fish. The video examines, the fish's behavior as well as its needs in the fish tank, along with some info on pH, breeding and eating habits.
