The Planet of the Apes trilogy is one of my personal favorite film trilogies, with its gorgeous visuals and directing, intriguing characters and world, and the fantastic musical themes and motifs developed from Dawn onwards. I will be working on a seven suite series, where I make suites of the many important themes Michael Giacchino developed.
The Colonel is underrated mainly because of how fantastic of a villain Koba was in Dawn. Woody Harrelson did a great job playing a rather simple and one note villain, helping make him feel much more alive and menacing. Giacchino composed an ominous, foreboding theme for him that helped almost every scene feel menacing because of his musical presence.
