June 25, 1999 saw the Cardinals and D-backs battle out a thrilling pitchers' duel in the Arizona desert. In the end, it was Cardinals righty José Jiménez -- the loser of 7 of his last 8 decisions and carrying a 6.69 ERA into the contest -- who authored a no-hitter against Randy Johnson (en route to his 2nd of 5 career Cy Young Awards)!
Fun fact: 2 weeks later, Jiménez beat the Big Unit and the D-backs AGAIN, 1-0, with another shutout performance!
