Wwise 2025.1: Similar Sound Search - Full Demo

With Wwise 2025.1, we're introducing Similar Sound Search, an audio-to-audio and text-to-audio search functionality specifically designed for sound effects. Similar Sound Search, a collaboration between Audiokinetic and Sony AI, is part of the new Media Pool, where you can search, organize, and preview your audio files to import into Wwise.

In this 16-minute demo, Audiokinetic Sr Software Developer Étienne Richan walks us through a complete sound design workflow, creating a submarine atmosphere from scratch. Watch as he uses Similar Sound Search to:
Find sounds based on a text description, like "submarine ambience" or "creaking metal".
Refine search results using filters, such as a file's duration.
Find sounds similar to an existing audio file in the session.
Combine traditional metadata search with Similar Sound Search to explore a sound library in new ways.
