Laureus World Sports Awards - Paris 2023 | HIGHLIGHTS

The stars came out in Paris for the 2023 Laureus World Sports Awards to celebrate the best in sport and the power of sport to change lives. Ahead of hosting the 2023 Rugby World Cup and 2024 Olympics, Paris hosted an unforgettable evening and celebration as Lionel Messi made history by becoming the first athlete to take home both the Laureus World Sportsman and Laureus World Team of the Year Awards in the same year. The emotional night was filled with inspirational messages from on perseverance, teamwork and dedication and moments you'll find only at Laureus.

The Awards are unique because of the jury that selects each winner - the Laureus World Sports Academy - is made up of Olympic champions, world record holders, athletes who changed the game, and they are the ultimate jury on sporting greatness.
