SOMETIMES IT IS SUCH A TOUGH DECISION BETWEEN VARIOUS DIE-CAST OFFERINGS. I WAS DEBATING BETWEEN THE HPD MCLAREN 765 LT AND THE AUTO ART MCLAREN 600 LT. THERE WAS ALSO A MCLAREN 675 LT BY AUTO ART. THESE NAMES CAN BECOME SO CONFUSING.
IN MY SEARCH I ONLY FOUND A FEW OFFERINGS FOR THE HPD MCLAREN 765 LT's AND FOR A LOT MORE MONEY THAN ANY AUTO ART MCLAREN 600 LT. WHEN I SAW THIS ONE ON EBAY FOR A WAY CHEAPER PRICE THAN ANY OTHER OFFERING I PULLED THE TRIGGER. AND AM I GLAD I DID. I LOVE THIS MODEL. AUTO ART NAILED IT. SO TIGHT. SUCH AMAZING CARBON FIBRE PRINT. NO DOOR, HOOD, OR ENGINE BAY COVER GAPS.
PAINT JOB IS PERFECT AND WITH THE ADDED BONUS THAT IS A METALLIC LOOK.
THE CARBON FIBRE PRINT ON THE CAR IS EVERYWHERE AND DONE WELL. WHETHER ON THE ROOF, MIRRORS, SIDE PANELS, OR ALL OVER THE REAR OF THE CAR, IT LOOKS AMAZING.
THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL OF THE CARBON ON THIS CAR IS NEXT LEVEL. I DON'T KNOW IF I OWN A DIECAST THAT HAS MORE CARBON PRINT THAN THIS ONE OR DONE AS WELL.
AlTHOUGH I PREFER DIE-CAST METAL MODELS THIS COMPOSITE MODEL IMPRESSES ME. MOST OF THE METAL MODELS I HAVE AREN'T ABLE TO MANAGE THE DOOR, HOOD, OR TRUNK GAPS TO THE BODY LIKE AUTO ART, WHETHER MY OLDER METAL AUTO ART, OR MY NEWER COMPOSITE AUTO ART.
THIS IS THE FIRST 1:18 SCALE AUTO ART MCLAREN 600 LT I BOUGHT. I LATER FOUND ONE IN VOLCANO RED AT MY LOCAL STORE, WILKINSON'S AUTOMOBILIA.
BOTH COLOURS LOOK SO GOOD ON THIS MODEL. I AM SO STOKED THAT I WAS ABLE TO GET TWO VERSIONS.
FEATURES I LIKE ABOUT THE 600 LT:
THE HUGE CARBON FIBRE SPLITTER WITH GAPING AIR INTAKES UNDERNEATH THE FRONT. THE MCLAREN SYMBOL SHAPED HEADLIGHTS. THE MCLAREN BADGE ON THE HOOD. THE SHAPE OF THE HOOD AND THE BLUE PAINT REFLECTING DIFFERENTLY OVER THE NUANCED CURVES.
THE COOL SPACE UNDER THE HOOD FOR STOWAGE. THE LITTLE FIRE EXTINGUISHER.
THE SIDE ANGLE LOOKS AMAZING. FROM THE SPLITTER AT THE FRONT, THE WRAP AROUND HEADLIGHTS, THE RAISED SILL ALONG THE BOTTOM WITH ALL THE AERO EFFECTS, THE DEEP DOOR VEIN IN CARBON FIBRE PRINT TO ALLOW FOR AIR INTAKE TO THE ENGINE. THE CARBON FIBRE CREVICE THAT RUNS THE TOP OF THE WHOLE LENGTH OF THE DOORS, THE CARBON FIBRE AIR INTAKE.
THE 600 LT BADGE JUST BEHIND THE FRONT TIRES ON EACH SIDE. THE PZERO PIRELI TIRES WITH THE ORANGE BRAKE CALLIPERS. THE BLACK RIMS.
THIS CAR IS SO CURVACIOUS FROM SO MANY ANGLES BUT NONE PERHAPS MORE THAN WHEN LOOKING DOWN ON THE CARS REAR ENGINE BAY. THAT DISCREET WINDOW, THE ENGINE CAP WITH THE TWO EXHAUST PIPES ANGLED OUT OF THE ENGINE BAY AREA, ALL IN A CARBON FIBRE PRING.
THE SPOILER, SHAPED WITH SHOOTING FLAMES IN MIND LOOKS AMAZING. THE TAIL LIGHTS ARE IN A CLEAR PLASTIC LOOK AND NOT IN THEIR LIT LOOK. THE WHOLE BACK END IS COVERED IN CARBON FIBRE PRINT. A SMALL VENT FROM THE ENGINE AT THE BACK JUST ABOVE THE 600 LT LICENCE PLATE. TO EITHER SIDE SMALL LIGHTS AND THEN A HUGE DIFFUSER UNDERNEATH. I ALSO LIKE THE SIDE BODY WORK JUST BEHIND THE TIRES, FOR AERO. THERE IS SO MUCH DETAIL UNDERNEATH THAT DIFFUSER. THE MESH ALLOWS YOU TO SEE UNDERNEATH AND INTO THE ENGINE.
THIS IS ONE FINE LOOKING DESIGN MCLAREN. AND AUTO ART HIT THIS ONE OUT OF THE PARK. IN BOTH VERSIONS I GOT AMAZING WORK ON THE DESIGN AND THE BUILD. PERFECT FITS AND SHARP PAINTING.
JUST USE CAUTION WHEN OPENING THE DOORS AS THEY ARE DELICATE AND REQUIRE TENDER OPENING. KIND OF A PULL UP AND OUT. NOT THE EASIEST BUT A GOOD LOOK WHEN OPEN.
