The Transpennine Route Upgrade saw the closure of the railway line through Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, on the weekend of January 18 and 19, 2025. More concrete beams were put in place on the bridge over Bradford Road in Huddersfield as part of the Huddersfield Viaduct strengthening work. Works were also taking place at the point where the Hillhouse Sidings will join the mainline. Meanwhile, machines could be seen on the tracks in the Colne Bridge and Bradley areas, about two miles east of Huddersfield Station. This video also looks at the work around Ravensthorpe, near Dewsbury. This includes the footings/bases for Baker Viaduct becoming visible #transpennineexpress #train #railway
